Blogging at home (heck sitting at my computer at home) has been a bit of a challenge lately and I really miss my computer time but my family and my sleep is my important so for now I will probably be blogging from my phone during my lunch breaks. Not ideal but better than not at all. Just excuse typos and grammar errors, please since my phone is meant for texting not blogging. Anywho, I wanted to let ya'll know I am still around just not very visible. I have been consistent with my exercise (doing 14 of the last 16 days of the 30 Day Shred) and going to the gym for my 5k training. I can run 5 minutes now (most times) when I try it. Next time I go (probably tomorrow) I am supposed to run 8 minutes.....I have to tell myself, "I can" because right now that seems pretty daunting to me. One thing I am learning while training for this is that I have to eat RIGHT! This weekend I ate some crappy food then I went to the gym and tried to run. I didnt do well at all. I couldnt finish the whole workout and I was able to the previous time. Needless to say food is an important part of my running and training. I just have to remember thqt while I am eating or getting ready to eat! I worked with That Other Kid today and we did school. Not our best school day, but I am happy to report that I finally "taught' him something from his math curriculum - place values! He is so good in math that most times he "knows" what is being presented already. He just has the math gene or something! Not from me though!

Check In (formerly known as Weigh In)
The Sisterhood has decided to change what the weekly weighin is called so that everyone can participate. For me nothing will change. I will weigh in and report to let everyone see all the details of my weigh ins. This week I am happy to report a fab result. I ahve lost 4.2 pounds since Sunday! Today I weighed 200.8 which is nothing to brag about but it is a lot better than 205 which is what I weighed just this past Sunday!! All my run and shredding is paying off! Dh said if I keep losing at this rate I will be at my goal in just a couple of months! I dont see that happening but I was thrilled for todays weigh in. Gotta go back to work....have a great night.

Quick Update
I didn't have time to check in while I was at home today so I'm trying to post from my phone. A little tricky but I want to tell ya'll how excited I am to be joining in with the new challenges over at the Sisterhood. I obviously need this because when I got on the scale this morning I was very disappointed with the numbers showing up there. 205.0 I thought about sittin there in my underwear and crying but quickly realized what I really needed to do is get my workout clothes on and start the 30 Day Shred with all my sisters. and I am happy to report that is exactly what I did! i did pretty well with it only struggling with the cardio aspect of the workout. Maybe I will be able keep up with Natalie soon!
I am part of Team Q and we are going to have a great time getting to know each other and helping to meet our goals for this month. My personal goal for this month-do all 30 days of the Shred, continue with my C25K training and get rid of 10 pounds FOR GOOD!
I started taking measures to eat right today by packing yogurt, cheese and fruit for my work lunch. At home today I fixed grilled burgers (our usual Sunday lunch) and fixed some oven fries. I stuck with a small serving of fries and ate a whole wheat bun with my burger. I did indulge in a coke because eating a burger and drinking water just seems wrong! lol
I better stop now so I can get this posted before my lunch break is over. Gotta do some shopping during my last break which will keep me from eating just to eat!
