Tiny Talk Tuesday

Tiny Talk Tuesday celebrates our children and their view of the world. They continually make us laugh and by recording their Tiny Talk we can focus on one of the many JOYS of parenting! If your kiddos made you laugh this week (don't they always), then feel free to share the humor! Check out more Tiny Talks with Mary.

When you have 2 children in the same house who are 13 1/2 years apart the little one sometimes feels left out of "grown-up" activities. This has been the case lately in our house....

That Other Kid has decided he doesn't want to be the "second child", he wants to be the "first child", so he has "demoted" That Kid. He now calls himself the first child, so deemed as "That Kid" and our 18 year old is now supposed to be "That Other Kid"....it is rarely amusing that he doesn't want to be the "other" kid...don'tcha think??

That Other Kid has gone through a major growth spurt the past couple of months and everytime we went somewhere in the carseat he would complain that it was too tight. So since he has met the 2 major criteria for no longer being in a "car seat with harness belt" I removed the harness belts and he is in the car seat/booster seat using just the "grown-up seat belt"! He told me today that he is a "grown-up" when he is in the car now since he has a "grown-up seat belt"!

Well not quiet, little man but the day is coming sooner than I will be ready....that's for sure!
