Tiny Talk Tuesday

Tiny Talk Tuesday celebrates our children and their view of the world. They continually make us laugh and by recording their Tiny Talk we can focus on one of the many JOYS of parenting! If your kiddos made you laugh this week (don't they always), then feel free to share the humor! Check out more Tiny Talks with Mary.

Today was just another day in our house....lots of errands, Karate practice, and a couple of hours of play for That Other Kid and a little veg time for mom at the gym. I just didn't have it in me to exercise, so I didn't! I sat in the locker room and read a great book by Karen Kingsbury. I'll tell you more about that another day. For tonight I want to tell you about the thoughts and conversations going on today with me and That Other Kid. They were quiet interesting...

That Other Kid -- "I got lots magicnations!" (imagination)
That Kid replied -- "No, I got lots magicnations!"
That Other Kid -- "Mommy, who gots more magicnations???"
Me -- I couldn't reply! Why??, cuz I was laughing too much!!

That Other Kid while riding around today told me, "I wanna be a daddy when I grow up, so I can live with you forever and sleep with you forever, like daddy does!"
I had to tell him he would make a great daddy when he grows up, but he would want to live with his wife and kids, not mommy and daddy.
He didn't really like that idea too much....I'll have to remind him of this conversation in about 15 years!

And our last conversation of the day that brought laughter to my spirit....(while he was in the bathroom)
That Kid "Close the door when you use the bathroom!"
That Other Kid, "I can't close the door, I already got my first poop and I can't get off the toilet and get poop everywhere!"

Well that was our day! How was yours???

Sounds like an ordinary week! :)

I love that "daddy" conversation - definitely worthy of retelling someday!
